  • This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as “Policy”) describes policies and procedures on the collection, use, disclosure and protection of your information when you use Go didi Mobile Application/website (hereinafter collectively referred to as by the name of the platform i.e., “Go didi”). The policy is applicable to the users of the App, including its customers, service recipients and drivers.
  • By using Go didi, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
  • 1. Information we collect

    A. Driver information:

  • Information of a Driver, who is a third-party vehicle operator includes full name of the driver, date of birth, gender, address, profile picture, mobile number, Aadhaar card for identification, proof for residence except Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Bank Account details, other KYC details, location data, valid driving license, details of the vehicle (including vehicle name and model, colour, registration number, registration certificate, valid insurance, PUC certificate, vehicle type, fuel type, photo of front & back of the vehicle), driving record and other documents which may be required as per relevant rules and regulations.
  • Where permitted or required by law, we may additionally collect background checks and criminal records information, which may be collected by an authorized vendor on the company’s behalf.
  • We also collect user generated content that you choose to upload on Go didi, which shall include comments, ratings, reviews etc.
  • We also collect information in correspondence you send to us which includes correspondence through chat messages with any attachments, emails with any attachments, recordings of phone calls you make to us.
  • Information required when you participate in any kind of promotions and promotional programs as well as information relevant for survey purposes.

B.User/passenger information:

  • User/passenger information (hereinafter referred to as “User”) includes full name, phone number, email, gender, selfie picture, proof of identification, country and city, emergency contact, social media accounts (optional) and other KYC details, if required.
  • We may also obtain information about users from third-party/service providers and such information may include background check and identity verification providers. We may also obtain information from third-party communication service if you choose to use the same or sign-up using a third-party communication application, website.
  • As required or authorized by law, we may receive information about user and driver from law enforcement agencies and other government authorities.

2.Information collected automatically

  • Location information for user and driver to know accurate and precise location when the app is running in the foreground and when the app is running in the background, to avail ride services, to know the route and distance travelled, provide user support, ensure safety including emergency services, detect any kind of fraud or activity detrimental to the interest of any person and for compliance of legal requirements. The said information is collected based on Go didi app settings and device permissions. For drivers, we may collect precise location for a limited time after driver mode is exited, to detect and investigate ride incidents.
  • Transaction information related to services provided via Go didi.
  • Communication information to enable the concerned parties to communicate with each other and with us. Details of such communication are collected in order to provide user support and resolution of queries and disputes, ensure safety and also with an endeavour to improve quality of service at Go didi. This also includes SMS/text messages for issuing and receiving one-time passwords, automatically filing verification details for using various features of the app such as financial transactions, either through us or a third-party service provider, in accordance with applicable laws and record calls of drivers
  • Usage information about use of Go didi, which includes and not confined to details regarding access, features or pages viewed or used, errors that occurred during use or otherwise and also collect data related to third-party for marketing purposes.
  • Device information of the device on which Go didi is accessed. The said information is collected by us or through third-party applications and it includes device name, operating system and its version, brand and model, IP address, preferred language, country site, user agent, mobile network data, browser type, screen parameters, scrolling activity, touch gestures on Go didi, sensor data. The said information is collected to enhance interface and experience on Go didi, facilitate the provision of software updates, product support and provide various other services.
  • Cookies information to improve site functionality. Go didi cannot control the use of cookies or resulting information by third parties and the use of third-party cookies is not covered by our Policy.

3. Information obtained from other sources

  • Third-party services: We may receive information about drivers and users from our service providers, including information regarding background check, identity verification, insurance, financial service vendors, marketing service providers etc. If any third-party communication application is used by the driver and user or any third-party service is used to sign up on Go didi, we may collect information from these services. Third-party may also provide us with information about you, such as information related to referral programs or through user support including information regarding an incident, complaint, documents, photos or videos etc.
  • State instrumentalities: We may receive information from law enforcement agencies and other government authorities, as mandated by law.

HOW WE USE THE INFORMATION

1. To enable you to use Go didi

  • -To enable you to maintain a Go didi account and enable you to use all the features and services.
  • -Verify the driver and user and their suitability to provide and avail services via Go didi.
  • -To maintain lawful conduct while using Go didi and combat unlawful activities and behaviour and other violations and also block, suspend/deactivate users engaged in activities prohibited by law and against the policy and objective of Go didi.
  • -Provide user support, handle complaints and provide emergency services, if need be.
  • -Send various types of communications relating to the services being availed.
  • -Maintain accessibility, stability, security of Go didi platform and resolve and prevent various issues.
  • -To comply with legal and contractual obligations across all ends and make the platform a safe space.

    2. To improve and develop features and products

  • -Perform research, testing, analysis, development, collection of feedback, machine learning and optimum use of Ai.

3. For promoting Go didi

  • -Send marketing communications and ads, including marketing calls.
  • -Provide personalized content and advertising on Go didi for improving your experience
  • Organizing events, branding, referral programs and various other type of promotions.

    4. To protect rights and comply with legal requirements

  • comply with license or permit requirements, and any other applicable laws, regulations and various legal obligations;
  • -respond to law enforcement requests, government inquiries, summons, notices, court orders, legal claims;
  • -protect the rights and interests of Go didi group, our users, or the public.

    Ease of decision making

  • Information is used to streamline and ease of decision making relating to your use of Go didi by enabling automated system by:
  • - connecting Drivers and users/passengers, based on various conditions viz. availability and proximity;
  • - analyze user ratings, and deactivating users with low ratings;
  • - flagging or temporarily suspending users who are identified as having engaged in fraud, unsafe or harmful activities. In some cases, such activities may lead to deactivation and legal action;
  • - recommending an average fare, based on such factors as distance, location and time.
  • Where required by law, actions (including deactivation) based on such processing occur only after review by Go didi group.

    INFORMATION SHARING MECHANISM

    With other Users:  To enable the scheduling and provision of rides:
  • -  Passenger information shared with Driver includes name, profile picture rating, pickup and drop-off locations, number of trips, offered fare, comments and contact information. In regions where we require Passengers to submit a national ID number, we may also share with the Driver whether the Passenger has submitted this number (but we will not share the ID number as such).
  • -  Driver information shared with Passenger includes full name and profile picture, information about the vehicle and its photo, location before and during the trip, ratings and reviews, number of trips, age, and contact information.
  • When required to provide Passengers with receipts and invoices, we may share information about the origin and destination of the trip, the total duration and distance of the trip, itemization of the total fare, Driver’s name, taxation identifier number and other information required by law.
  • If you register with Go didi via a referral link, we may share certain information about you, such as your name and trip count, with the user who referred you. This is to enable the referring user to check whether they are eligible for the referral bonus.
  • For the purposes of services other than the transportation services provided via Go didi, we will share the information with other users that is necessary for the provision of such services. 
  • With service providers : We may share your personal information for business purposes with providers of the services, such as payment processing and transaction completion, background checks, verification of identity, insurance, user and technical support, data storage vide various mediums, in-app communication like messaging or calling etc., push notifications, prevention of fraud and unlawful activities, advertising, marketing, survey and research, professional services, payment bonuses and sharing of promotion benefits and offers

    Note :- The following partners process data for their own purposes as independent controllers and we do not control such processing:

  • -  Google, in connection with the use of Google Maps (see Google’s privacy policy);
  • -  social media companies (including Meta), in connection with our use of their tools (see Meta’s privacy policies).
  • Within our company: We may share your information with a parent, subsidiary, or an affiliate of our group as part of our operations. 

    In connection with a business transfer : We may transfer personal information in connection with a substantial corporate transaction in which personal information is among the assets to be transferred. 

    For legal purposes : We may disclose your personal information when it is necessary to protect rights and comply with legal obligations.

  • We may share your personal information for other purposes pursuant to your consent or at your direction.
  • We may share aggregated or otherwise anonymised information which is no longer personally identifying.

RIGHTS OF THE USER OF THE APP

  • Accessing, receiving and updating your information: You may access, review and update your information either in your account settings in the app or by contacting us at info@godidi.in. You may also request a copy of all information on you which we process. You may receive your data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format to the extent such data has been processed by automated means.
  • Deleting your account and data: You can delete your account through the app settings or request the deletion of your account and your data by contacting us at info@godidi.in. You may be asked to verify your account and identity. We will not be able to delete your account if there is an unsettled debt or an unresolved issue related to your account (for example, an unresolved complaint). We may retain certain information after your account is deleted provided there is a legitimate basis for such retention (see section “How we store your information”). 
  • Sharing location information: Your device may have controls that determine what information we collect. For example, you can prevent your device from sharing location information through your device’s system settings. 
  • Objections and withdrawal of consent: You have the right to object to us processing your information where processing is based on our legitimate interests. You can also withdraw consent to processing at any time where processing is based on your consent. In particular, you may exercise these rights by:
  • -  Opting out of push notifications. You can opt out of receiving push notifications through your device settings or through the app settings.
  • -  Unsubscribing from marketing emails and messages. You can opt out of marketing emails and messages by using the “unsubscribe” link or the mechanism noted in such communication.
  • -  Opting out of marketing calls. You can opt out of receiving marketing calls during a call or by contacting us at info@godidi.in
  • -  Managing cookies. You can delete cookies and modify your cookie settings in your web browser settings. 
  • -  social media companies (including Meta), in connection with our use of their tools (see Meta’s privacy policies).
  • Restrictions. You can request that we limit our use of your data. We may continue to process your data after such a request to the extent required or permitted by law.
  • Right to complain to the supervisory authority. Under the local law, you may have the right to file a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

HOW WE STORE YOUR INFORMATION

  • We keep your personal information for as long as you have an account with us. We may retain certain information after account termination for legitimate reasons:
  • -  We will retain transactional information (such as data about rides and payments) for at least as long as mandated by law and needed to meet our tax obligations.
  • - We will retain the information for the period required by the licensing regulator (where applicable). The retention period will vary depending on your location and the type of data.
  • -  We will retain correspondence and other documentation for as long as this is required for compliance with statutory document retention obligations.
  • -  If there is a legal claim or dispute or any possibility thereof, we will retain corresponding information until the claim is satisfied/dispute is resolved or the limitation expires. The said limitation would be governed by the Law of Limitation or limitation period provided under an Act relating to the dispute.
  • -  We will also retain data relevant to prevent fraud, to ensure users safety, to comply with our legal obligations for a period needed to fulfill these purposes. 

HOW YOUR INFORMATION IS PROTECTED

  • We take reasonable and appropriate technical, legal, and organizational security measures to protect your personal information from any unauthorized action including but not limited to access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction leading to loss, theft, or misuse of your data.
  • The security processes in our company are developed in accordance with the ISO standard, and we do our best to affirm our commitment to safeguarding your information. Security measures are regularly reviewed to consider available new technology and methods. Since absolute security does not exist either on or off the Internet, Go didi cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information, especially against maliciously intended acts by third parties where the cost for the successful attack multiplies several times the value of the data possibly compromised. Nevertheless, we make commercially reasonable efforts to keep your information safe.

GENERAL DISCLOSURES

  • Telephone monitoring: Calls may be monitored and recorded for quality assurance and training purposes.
  • Protecting children: Go didi is not directed to children (as defined in the local laws). If it is discovered that we hold personal information of a child we will use reasonable endeavors to delete the said data and ensure that it is not further used or shared. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@godidi.in.
  • Third-party collections: Certain third parties may use automatic information collection technologies, including cross-site tracking technologies, to collect personal information. These third parties may include your internet service provider, web browser, mobile service provider, mobile device manufacturer, online advertisers, and data analytics companies. Additionally, our Platform may contain links to third-party platforms. Clicking on such links means that the respective platform may collect your personal information. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. 

CHANGES

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect the changes in laws or in how we operate. When we update this policy, we will notify you by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page and by posting the new Privacy Policy and providing any other notice required by applicable law. When you use Go didi, you are agreeing to the most recent terms of this policy.
